Apparently, Windows 10 has a bug that doesn’t clear standby memory and it clogs everything up. Use EmptyStandbyList.exe to clear standby memory every 5 minutes in the background to eliminate stuttering. Keep at least 30% of SSD empty for maximum performance. Use the task manager to make sure everything is really closed that you don’t want open while gaming. Set power options in both NVIDA control panel (if you have that type of GPU) and Windows control panel to the “maximum performance” option. Kill all startup processes you don’t need from the task manager under “startup” and setting the status to “disabled.” You can just search for “game bar” on the start menu search field. Disable the game bar and all game bar/game DVR options. I haven’t seen a definitive guide anywhere about this and I think it would be useful for everyone to share. Here are the few that I know, but I just learned a huge one today.
